After living in the United States since 1996, husband and wife were deported.

Tina Cervantes Moreno called into Cafe Con Leche on Friday, August 18, 2017. 
Tina and her husband were deported in 2011.Tina was born in the State of Veracruz. She graduated as a Teacher She came as a single mother to the United States in 1996. She settled in Illinois. She married and had other two children. The youngest with Autism.

When Tina’s mother died, she decided to attend the funeral in Mexico. When the Parents were trying to cross the border to return to the United States, they were stopped by the border patrol. They were told if they did not sign the volunteer deportation they will be held in a Detention Center for a long time. Concerned with the condition of their youngest child, they signed them. Now they live in San Luis Potosi, with almost no services for the autistic child, now 15 years old.

Tina y su esposo fueron deportados en 2011. Tina nació en el estado de Veracruz. Se graduó como Maestra. Llegó como madre soltera a los Estados Unidos en 1996. Se estableció en Illinois. Se casó y tuvo otros dos hijos. El más joven con autismo.

Cuando la madre de Tina murió, decidió asistir al funeral en México. Cuando los Padres intentaban cruzar la frontera para regresar a los Estados Unidos, fueron detenidos por la patrulla fronteriza. Se les dijo que si no firmaron la deportación voluntaria serán detenidos en un Centro de Detención durante mucho tiempo. Preocupados por la condición de su hijo menor, las firmaron. Ahora viven en San Luis Potosí, con casi ningún servicio para el niño autista, ahora de 15 años de edad.
