KENIA DUARTE, A «DREAMER» – KENIA DUARTE UNA ‘DREAMER’

Kenia Duarte, a «DREAMER» called into Cafe Con Leche from Long Beach, Ca. .  She recently graduated with a BA in Sociology from CSU Long Beach. Kania was born in Sinaloa, Mexico and was brought to the United States when she was 3 years old. Kenia attended  a ceremony in the Mexican Consulate on Wednesday July 20. She and 34 other DREAMERS  will visit Mexico for the first time since they left. They will visit Mexico City and the towns in which they were born to meet their extended families. The trip was organized by Armando Vazquez Ramos. He is a Long Beach Teacher and has organized already 4 trips to give the opportunity to students to see were they were born. The trip will be three weeks long. She will call Cafe Con Leche again when she returns from her trip.  

Kenia Duarte, «Dreamer» puesto en Cafe Con Leche de Long Beach, CA. . Recientemente se graduó con una licenciatura en Sociología de la CSU Long Beach. Kania nació en Sinaloa, México y la trajeron a los Estados Unidos cuando  solo tenía 3 años de edad. Kenia asistió a una ceremonia en el consulado de México el miércoles 20 de julio Ella y otros 34 DREAMERS visitarán México por primera vez desde que dejaron el país. Visitarán la Ciudad de México y las ciudades en las que nacieron para conocer al resto de sus familias. El viaje fue organizada por Armando Vázquez Ramos. Él es un profesor de la Universidad de Long Beach y ha organizado ya 4 viajes para dar la oportunidad a los estudiantes que conozcan los lugares en que nacieron. El viaje será de tres semanas de duración. Ella  llamara de nuevo a Cafe Con Leche cuando regrese de su viaje.
